i loved that re-edit of the Covenant trailer to the Prometheus/Alien style... i really hope Fox "officially" does that for the green band trailer. worked REALLY well for this film!!!

. .oh but u will get those who complain about that as well. .saying something like. . Omg. .how lazy and unoriginal. .they ised the same music again!!!. .omg. .fox is really milking it. .omg ...i hated prometheus that music just reminds me of that f**king hatefull turd with no f**king xenos. .omg they rehashing the same shit all over again. . It even sounds the same. . Dont get me wrong i loved the recuts and that background score is amazing. . Always gives me gooseflesh. .but the haters response is always very predictable. .

eh, cant please everyone in the long run... but for those of us who really admire sound design and good audio production, all of the sounds used in the "Prometheus/Alien" style trailer are just amazeballs! i especially love the high pitch siren sound, ive always wondered how they built it!

i know. . .for me personally it will never get old. . I remember when i first saw the trailer for prometheus, i posted the link to all my friends and told them to put on their headphones and turn the volome to LOUD !!

. .i am hoping they will use it again in future trailors or in the movie itself. . But a revamped version. . Like the way they took the original sound of the first alien trailor and rehashed it for prometheus. . No reason they can't use it again but somehow enhance it or just remix it a bit. . Else it would really feel like they milking it. .

... and Blade Runner ;) Coincidence?

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b7/Blade_Runner_eye.png

Coincidence that this kind of shot has been used in many movies over the years?

You are probably correct...

What movies? Besides Scott hasn't done that since Blade Runner. Both eyes belong to androids: Roy Batty and David 8. And there are some parallels between those two.

its sad that 100 million people decided they wanted to watch a Transformers trailer, those movies are just soooo terrible.

Worse than terrible. They're insulting.

That's Holden's eye in Blade Runner.

That's Holden's eye in Blade Runner.

It wouldn't make any sense at all.

It's Roy's eye. It' so obvious.

It's literally from the opening scene of Holden looking out over the city at all the flames. It's Holden's eye.

QuoteWhose eye is it at the start of the movie?
The storyboard indicates that it belongs to Holden (Morgan Paull). According to Future Noir: The Making of Blade Runner, the actual eye belongs to EEG Optical Lineup man Richard Rippel, which is why the eye is not the same color as Holden's. However, Ridley Scott has commented that the eye is not supposed to belong to any one individual;

I think I was intuitively going along with the root of the Orwellian idea. That the world is more of a controlled place now. It's really the eye of Big Brother. Or Tyrell. Tyrell, in fact, had he lived, would certainly have been Big Brother. The early intent [was for the eye to be Holden's]. But I later realized that linking that eye with any specific character was far too literal a maneuver and removed the particular emotion I was trying to induce (Future Noir, 382 -1st edition; 488 - 2nd edition).

I always though it was Roy's eye. It just perfectly matches with Blade Runner theme. My bad.

It basically said "HEY WE ARE A SLASHER MOVIE WITH TITS!  YOU LIKE BLOOD AND TITS RIGHT?!"

None tits showed in that scene.

Scorpio

Having blood and tits doesn't automatically mean 'cheap slasher', anyway.

boobies just make everything more magical though! i mean, seriously... you cant help but smile when saying the word "boobie"

prior to seeing the shower scene in the trailer (after hearing about it via this forum), i really expected the worst... but to be honest, after SEEING it in the trailer, my opinion has changed. its a ship full of couples, and their main goal when finding "Paradise" is to procreate. so the scene makes sense... and something tells me that Scott isnt going to make this a cheap shot at a porn scene, ill honestly be surprised if we actually see any breasts or fanny going on at all when this is shown in theaters.

I get it now... Sugartits!!
