Moon was made for $5 million.

Moon is fantastic.

Pacific Rim, yeah, should be at least the budget of District 9. But I'll happily take a $5mil Dredd.

Moon
didn't require much visual creation. The only thing phenomenal about Pacific Rim was that it looked really pretty, thanks to that budget. Take that away, and PR has nothing to offer :P

I'LL ONLY ACCEPT A FULLHEARTED FUNDING FOR DREDD.

Also, I was responding to a future Dredd sequel being $5 million, not a Pacific Rim sequel.

A 5 million dollar Dredd sequel would require Sam Raimi level resourcefulness not to look cheese. :P

AND WHY ISN'T THERE A KICKSTARTER FOR DREDD 2?!

I agree that a Dredd sequel should preferably have more of a budget than that, but I really do think that Moon is proof that, if they played their cards right, they could pull it off on that small a budget.

Unless the scale of the sequel is supposed to be much larger than the first one.

What I want most from a Dredd sequel is more exploration of the world it takes place in. I highly doubt a Cursed Earth story would be workable on a reduced budget.

This +1, and that kinda applies to Pacific Rim, i want to see more of the world post Kauji.

Aspie, a dredd 2 kickstarter would be lucky to make $5mil.

Well G.I Joe got a sequel despite it doing poorly in the US. So anything is possible. I would imagine the home video sales will do great due to good word of mouth.
