First cut of Alien

Okay perfect ! But for the Youtube vidéos, why aren't they in a set ? The guy who published that, where did he find it ?

The Giger's Alien documentary is from an old Japanese laserdisc release.
The behind the scenes footage from the attack on Lambert and Parker are from a UK documentary on Ridley Scott's films ("Omnibus" Eye of the Storm: Ridley Scott 1992).
The outtake of the Alien in the corridor, I have no idea as to its origin but I was lucky enough to have found it with someone's help. This, definitely should have been part of the Blu-ray set.

I remember seeing the complete (or near to) documentary uploaded a few years before. Now only the portion on ALIEN is readily available.

The late great Terry Rawlings scanned his copy of the shooting script for AXP a few years back.

Slates are used to record information about a take when filming a movie, and also to synchronise sound and picture. The editor made a note of what slate covered what piece of footage for a given scene, which are available in the link SM provided.

Yes, all the extra footage in that video can be found in the Anthology set. Buried within documentaries and enhancement pods, etc.

Resurrection started a bad trend though. The AVP aliens looked like crap too.

I still stand by them for Resurrection. They were supposed to be mutated, impure creations. It's just a shame that design got reused to save cash for the next movies.

I found the bottle scene in one of the DVD docs.

That's kind of a fair assessment now, but was that really the intent when ADI designed them?

I'm particularly put off by the mess that is their mouth design. The OG Alien has all kinds of intricate tubes and tendons. The AR mouth is just a pointed chin and...a mess.
