Nope i rewatched the scene to be sure. First shot at the head = One hole  ,or the impact area very deeply curve (a bite like a hole was dig in it)
I'm not saying 1 45ACP round = 1 dead xeno
But the first round did huge damages and at the end of the clip the head was just smash potatoes (but the xeno still moving or convulsing).
In the best case the second round very clearly make the perforation.

To be honest, in this scene (vasquez shootign xeno with 45ACP) i see not xeno blood form the beginning to the end.
I clearly see a perforation since the 1/2 shot , after these, his head started to get transformed in smashed potatoes. But the xeno blood?
I gonna rewatch this again.

I know    i'm not saying that the xeno blood doesn't exist in this scene,
I'm saying that actually  i can't clearly see it. Or when it strats to shows up.

Aliens aren't bullet proof, which is why they were given acid blood, to make sure Alien didn't end with someone shooting and killing the Alien as soon as it appears.

Depends from the angle. Gorman shoots one but one or two bullets just bounce off.

Gorman's not shooting with 10mm armour piercing explosive tipped rounds.

Vasquez was using a  9mm (9x19para) S&W automatic pistol  , with ivory (or ivory like) grips 
I know i used to say she was using a 1911 , but after a closer view i realized i was wrong.

While Gorman was using  a H&K VP 70 9x19 parabellum
