Well i can understand. Preds are a lot more appealing. They are more human-like and one can more easily related(?) to. While the aliens are really just (seemingly) mindless, vicious beasts. With exception of Big Chap, i recall him being actually intelligent... heard that in the commentary i believe

I prefer aliens they are so complex and there is so much to learn about them the predators though are also fascinating and a good match for the aliens but nothing will ever beat the aliens

I prefer them both but depending on the film their in, it makes be prefer one of them better than the other.
and you can thank the g-man for the sexual similarities in aliens, they were made to be disturbing as well as scary, the tones are still there all the way up to AVP-R.
