Yeah, he's a bad guy in it, and he has two actors from The Raid in his entourage.

You had me at Dacascos.

I'm guessing the action scenes have gone up a gear

John Wick

It's weird how almost, uh grounded this is in comparison to the sequels. And I find it interesting just how casually Perkins breaks the Continental's rules considering what an epic shit storm ensues over John doing so in Chapter 2 and 3.

Also, it's a shame for us Wire fans that Lester Freamon and Cedric Daniels are both in this and never share a scene.

eXistenZ (1999) Nice one from Cronenberg about virtual reality game worlds, in a true Cronenberg style. Lots of body horror, although you can't really say it's a horror movie. It's more of a sci-fi mystery. Good acting too, and the ending is hilarious. Sometimes it's a bit too heavy on the pseudo-intellectual video game babble though. 7/10

Watched Wick 3 - Parabellum last night and it's easily the best film I've seen all year. Loved it from start the finish. Everything about it was top notch.

Pet Sematary (2019)
Spoiler
Good first half then takes a different route ... and then not so good  :-\ Even having the young boy look like the young kid in the original film was to throw everybody off guard. Using the young girl as the character in question who gets hit by the truck was interesting but then it descends into a stock standard affair ... that ending was terrible. King gave this his blessing?

John Wick 3.

Eh... entertaining action. Very creative action in the beginning movie. At the end, not so much.

Logic in this world is WTF. Story is MIA. So is a conclusion. Okay film. Just okay. Least of the three movies. A bit disappointing.
7/10
