For that reasons I'm not worried about this aspect of Covenant.

Agreed. Also, Ridley Scott has never made a cheap looking movie. He's oft-accused of trimming narrative logic to death and having zero exposition in his films (and occasionally, the extreme opposite), but it's always immersive and lovely to look at.

Now with Covenant, they seem to be going for a very claustrophobic atmosphere. And that's great, but as a result it will probably feel a lot less grand and ambitious.    I hope it's going to be more than just people getting killed by aliens all the time.
