So what are the Solomons? Are they the Solomon Islands on Earth? It's later mentioned that the Nostromo had left Thedus. Are the Solomons a region of space or group of planets that includes Thedus. Are they a region on the planet Thedus. Are they the moons of Alpha Caeli V, which is what the Colonial Marines Technical Manual says they are?
