I prefer the aliens to be eyeless.  In fact, I'd love to see how Stan Winston's version would look with the translucent canopy restored.

Agreed. They went with the right look for the film, but I'd love to see the head they made before the dome was nixed.

There's plenty of great stuff out there.

There's a rarely seen variation of this image,slightly out-of-focus,as it's about to rise,in an old FANGORIA magazine from 1992 but I don't have a scanner,so this more common image will do.
