Maybe not the Jedi mind trick, but they're definitely susceptible to being crushed by heavy solid objects that Vader can fling around with the Force. I see no reason to believe they'd be immune to Force-strangulation either.
Now put them up against a squad of bumbling stormtroopers and the aliens might have a chance.
