Alien3 redux

Makes me wish they would have gone with stilts for the suit.

Despite having edited the image myself, for a degree of accuracy to 'the dragon' of Alien3, I'm not that keen on the wolf stilts myself. I guess it fits the Runner's dog ancestry so makes perfect sense in that film, but ever since the animal legs have been in evidence and push the alien further and further into the dino territory that Giger was keen to avoid. Still can't beat the Bolaji suit IMHO.

I agree. I prefer the humanoid, slim-sexy shape of the original. It was the sexy human silhouette, extremely sexual head design and robots parts that made Gigers design so unique and terrifying, and a true work of art. ADI took the deign into a different territory, sliming it up, adding muscles to it and getting rid of sexual things and all mech parts in order to make the creature "more believable", but this way they only ruined it and brought it down design-wise to the level of generic fleshy movie monster. Imo

I do like the runners design tho, the last good alien design. The neck and shoulders are horrific, but theres still plenty of artistry (and some sexuality) in it
