OOOH true, true, I remember the original concept for Sil was properly something produced by that process. Or else. I don't remember the details.

I rather like the whale alien seen in the top left hand corner. How creepy would it be to see that swimming in murky water?

Facehugger crawls inside the blowhole and makes it to the windpipe (cetaceans have air passageways independant from the digestive system).

Alternatively, giant-sized hugger. Still, facehuggers do not quite work on most muzzles, we have quite weird skulls (and Predators are VERY human-like by skeletal standards; that resemblance could make some good material for writting rather than just the usual taken for granted position).
