I noticed the Alien on the thruster only in a second moment. Really nice photo! I love that you can see Ripley wearing the astronaut helmet in the center.

It's the bigass hydraulic Alien Animatronic ADI built for AvP. It's not really that big, in the picture it is a combination of A. it being slightly off the ground, suspended by machinery (I think, should check again now), and B the angle of the shot.
EDIT: yes, it's pretty big, but it was lifted with machinery in that scene.
Also:
