back when i was 13, and started buying aliens comics, i had a little rule. if i could draw the alien better and more accurately than the comic artists, i wouldn't buy the comic. as a result, i bought exactly two comics:
labyrinth, and
sacrifice.
i didn't start quite young enough to have any of the fabulous work of den beauvais or dave dorman, who are actually probably the best as far as screen accuracy. their aliens usually looked exactly like the costumes. which, imho, isn't always the best thing. plunkett made a few changes here and there (notable the feet) in ways that were clearly thought out, and looked like they fit so well that original designs looked out of place.
