The only damage done to that Xeno in the new photo is the scar on his face. The whole dome is there, just behind his shoulders.
The xenomorph isn't standing in this photo. It's crawling up a wall. Meaning his head is in a different position than it would be. He's basically looking upward.

Someone who saw the film said the back of the head is intact here.
Or he implied it was.

The entire back of this xeno's head has been blown up, apparently by the explosive bullet that shot into it. But the xeno is still alive, it's regenerating it's wounds, it's immortal.

Man I wish I'd seen this last month.
The biggest issue is there's just too much of the dialogue. The lines should be kept short; say as much with as little as possible.
"As some of you have worked out, we're not home yet. We're only halfway there. Mother has intercepted a transmission."
"What kind of transmission?"
"Unknown."
That's it.
Build some anticipation, then drop Ripley's "mother's translated part of the transmission. It looks like a warning."
Ramp up intensity, build to crescendo, drop a slow build scare at the end.
