Yeah, I didn't think deleting posts would be a problem. Edit: delete button is still here on desktop. Removing it was probably just streamlining for mobile.

It goes away after a few minutes, probably about the same time limit as editing a post without it showing as edited, if I were to guess.

I had a feeling the mods weren't going to tolerate the constant deletions forever.  Now it looks like they removed that feature entirely.

That would be a good question for the site staff.  They clearly felt strongly enough about it to ban a poster and then disable that ability for the rest of us.

She'd delete posts arbitrarily even after people had replied, sometimes creating pages of conversation that no longer made sense because one person vanished from the discussion completely.

There's a difference between second guessing the occasional post and torpedoing entire threads.
