I was riding my motorcycle yesterday and heard a couple pops coming from the exhaust cans. A few seconds later, the engine died. I was able to get it started again and that's when I heard people honking. I looked back and there were flames coming out of my exhaust!
I immediately shut it off and pushed it on to a sidewalk. As luck would have it, I was next to a Dutch Bros and asked one of the baristas if they had a fire extinguisher. He ran inside to get one and came out to my bike and sprayed it. Was lucky enough to get it put it out before melting my bike, but don't know the extent of the damage of the internals.
