Yeah, if those graphics are representative it's been rebuilt from the ground up rather than just being remastered.

I'm quite looking forward to this. I never did get very fair in the original when I tried recently (last few years) but I'm definitely planning on picking this one up.

Which is a bit of a problem, to be honest.  The original trilogy has been dirt cheap (or even free at times) for so long that unless this remake offers a significantly improved experience, I don't see the point in getting it.  Especially if it's just the first game by itself.
