Even though I'm a minimalist, I prefer actual books to E-Books. I usually read for hours, and I can't stand looking at electronic devices for that long.

Books are just always there when you want them. No devices to wait on booting up, no sitting there twiddling your thumbs when the battery runs out. No chance of having it lost or pulled if something happens to an online account.

I'll always prefer the physical books too. There's just something about the sensation, that an eBook can't compete with.

My mother has been in the ER this morning. Everything is apparently going to be alright though.

Less unhappy, more highly anxious. I accidentally placed an order for art supplies to an old address. I emailed the company immediately but I think I'll be panicking til I hear back.

Update: They're really on the ball. Issue resolved.

Welp, after 4 months of dating the guy my best friend just got engaged to him on Saturday night.

Im happy for her in a sense, but this is way too f***ing fast

and his apology about what he did on my birthday was b******t

If you like her, why don't you just tell her?

They probably don't, but rest assured that everyone's in the same boat.

That's not something to be unhappy about. Go and revel in the adorable neon rain.

Here in the southeastern United States, they show up right before winter begins. The problem is there are literally millions of them. They get in the cars and houses and outbuildings and they stink everything up. When they're not biting you, they're swarming all over you and getting in your hair, etc.

They're a nuisance in numbers like this.
