Seems like everyone assumes that that is one of the Ampules from the Head Monolith room. Did it change colour on the journey back?

Its grey,in the trailer its darker but they still look grey.

Please note that different shades of grey out there.  The ampules are a metallic, darker hue than the light, flat grey we see here.  They also look pretty solid, instead of having some sort of lid (indicated by the crease on the top) and Fassbender's experiment here looks a lot more cylindrical.

I personally am not sold on what it is, we'll just have to wait and see.

I never knew the balls with the red lasers were flying i watched the trailer on my hd tv and saw it.
Guess they somehow scan the whole enviroment and map it digitaly? (if they are friendly) 


And the voice in the beginning is saying:  come in Prometheus come in Prometheus. at first i didnt think it but now im starting to think that it sounds like Sigourney Weavers voice.
Im probably wrong because i also hear an English accent through the voice.

the ampules have all different sizes. if you see them in a dark environment, with no natural lights like the ampule room they appear darker than in a med-lab with all the lights on.  to me there's no doubt that he is taking this primordial being out of an ampule.
