Oh god... I bet alternative moms are swarming to their blogs sharing their own baby swinging experiences as we speak.

"Oops, I dropped mine by mistake when I tried the triple spin... I'm also worried about the ceiling fans now so I took my baby outside where it can't hit anything on the way up and if it gets dropped again, I'm hoping nature's blanket will cushion its fall."

As long as it's not roaches, I'd be good.

Mmmmmmmmm, Cicadas.

I'd be willing to try grasshoppers/locusts/cicadas/anything in that general area, as I imagine it wouldn't be much different to eating prawns (Shrimps for you heathens outside of Australia). Sure, it might taste different, but I don't see cracking open their shells and getting to the good stuff inside being much more off-putting.

As for cockroaches, though, no. No no no. No. No. Just no. f**k them. Kill them all, let God sort 'em out.

Sil may actually be on the money. I've heard Locust tastes something like prawn, and cooked termites a bit nutty / carrot-like.
I think selective breeding would likely be required though...the meat / shell ratio on a lot of bugs seems really low. You'd need a lot for a real meal, unlike prawns for instance.

Pretty good. Very spicy. But that's just because they used a lot of spices.

Witchetty grubs are actually pretty tasty once you get over the idea of eating something called a "grub".

I already eat shrimp 'n shellfish.

Only a tiny jump 'tween that and insects.

Not me, I prefer chicken, pig and cow on my plate, though I've had white-tailed deer and black bear now and then in my lifetime and those are pretty good.
