ROTK EE

About half way through (it was 1am and I had work the next day). The battle of Pelennor Fields is just incredible especially when the Rohirrum show up - Jackson has made a film with such heart that matches the incredible visual feast.

Black Swan (2010)

Natalie Portman is great but I feel like her performance and the music elevate what is fairly mediocre material. Black Swan starts out alright but I had lost interest before the end, much of the dialogue felt like quick exchanges just to move the plot forward. I was expecting something with a bit more substance...to be fair though I have no interest in ballet so anyone who does will likely enjoy it more. 5/10

Stand by Me  (1986)

I'm sure a lot of us can relate to Stand By Me in someway, I've always thought it was a good film but not as great as some people make out. One bit I don't like is when it goes back in time and shows Gordie and his older brother at the dinner table, this scene kinda felt emotionally manipulative and unrealistic. Also how is it possible to get so many leeches on you in the water with all your clothes on. Good performances, particularly Corey Feldman. 6.5/10

The Jewel of the Nile  (1985)

When I rewatched Romancing the Stone a few years ago I found it to be pretty average overall but it was at least good for the first 45 minutes or so, I could barely remember this sequel and now I know why. The first 15 minutes are alright but after that it's just one long boring slog to the end with just a couple of funny moments to break the tedium, even the action is crap. I know these movies get compared to Indiana Jones but this completely rips it off... 3/10

Halloween 2018
Good film for its franchise but despite the realism it tries to bring back, Michael, who is in his sixties still has abnormal strength, though he is more human in this movie with permanent scars carried over from the first film and he has visibly aged. It sort of blurs the lines a little.

Yeah, I really enjoyed Halloween as well. Jamie was so, so good in it.

Black Swan 5/10? Stand by Me 6.5/10?

Emelie (2015)
Started out really unnerving. It lost that part when it revealed why it was happening but then it just became tense. Still had me gripped

Final Destination 1-5
Think my favorites are 3 and 4, the amusement park and the race.
I wish they made more of these.

The Couch Trip (1988)
Nice comedy with  Dan Aykroyd and Walter Matthau.

What About Bob? (1991)
Another nice comedy this time with Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss.

The Blues Brothers (1980)
Special kind of movie.

80's-90's movies have such a great and unique charm to them.

And cocaine. If you know enough you can notice how strung out Aykroyd and Belushi are. Adds an extra dimension to te movie. There's an article that mentions how it was taken into account with the budget or something like that.

I always had an intriguing idea for a FD film, its just trying to break the story for it

Final Destination 2's premonition sequence is still the best one for me. I'm still scared to drive behind a truck with any sort of object that could fly through my windshield  :-[

Only Marvel movie I've actually seen and liked.

The only way you can like more, is if you actually see more.  :P

Let me get through Terminator first.

Spoiler
I only know that no Marvel movies have been graced by Michael Biehn's presence, and Mark Rolston was in the new Spider-Man game.
