I'm jumping back and forth between Hitman and Resident Evil 7.

Forgot how wonky the controls were, gonna take a second to relearn them.

Just replayed the Alien Campaign in Aliens vs. Predator 2. Works in widescreen HD and still a great game.

How do you feel about escort missions?

This one is crap but I've played the game enough times to know how to work with it.

Nice.
I was thinking of buying the HD Collection but most people hate it. Is it really that bad?

Yes, it's awful.

Buy a PS2 and play them on that.

I got one, just need to figure out what I need to get it to hook up to my TV. I don't have space for a tube TV anymore.

Most flat screens still have the old A/V outlets on the back.

This one doesn't. I only have a component jack.

I've started Shin Megami Tensei Lucifer's Call, because Dante from DMC is in it. Not a fan of RPGs in general, but this seems OK so far.
However, I just bought Astro Bot Robot Rescue, which is apparently amazing, so I may get distracted by that, first...

After all these years, I've finally got to play Aliens versus Predator 2. Only a few missions into the Marine campaign thus far - I've just got to the obligatory "captured and stripped of all your gear" bit - but I'm liking it a lot. It's basically the first game but with slightly better graphics and an actual plot. Looks surprisingly sharp on a modern monitor. Genuinely scary when it wants to be too; while there's no denying the fear is based largely around jump scares as opposed to the more atmospheric and pervasive horror of Isolation, it still has me shitting myself when a bunch of Aliens suddenly come screeching out of the darkness.

Wait, you never played AVP2 until now? Ok that's it, you're fired lol
It is probably the best AVP game out there so you definitely will be enjoying yourself. The Alien campaign is very interesting too, you get to go through the entire life-cycle.
One other thing that is awesome as well is the sound effects, unlike 2010's version, this AVP had the proper sound effects from the movies. I think the "first" AVP game did as well but I cannot remember.

;D

I missed it back in the day, and then I couldn't be bothered tracking down a copy/messing around with trying to get such an old game to run on modern systems.

But then Hicks pointed me in the direction of the complete download put together by x-M-x.
