Superman vs. Doomsday was by far one of the best comic book fights of all time.

Definitely, first time I'd ever seen Supes be beaten so badly.

I think Superman should have a top spot here.

Ditto, can't stand him.

Hes such a bad hero, theres a comic book/superhero fault named after him.
Hes also a smug twat.

He's boring, that's his problem. Enough of the Kryptonite BS and find some enemies that can legitimately go toe-to-toe with you. And while Doomsday and Metallo certainly fit the bill, they haven't appeared in the comics lately to the best of my knowledge.

I'm not a comic reader, but I did find the original Reeves film to be boring.

Does not compute.

I like the movies but he has become something he was never ment to be in popular culture.

Didn't find it engaging enough.

The Hulk's been popular since Ferrigno. He's one of the most recognizable figures in popular culture, nothings going to change that.

My only qualm with it is Luthor. He was poorly concieved. Is it Superman as a character that doesn't engage you or just the film as a whole?

MrBrokenTusks.

I know I just miss the way Hulk was portrayed before the new films still like him though.

Hmm... would have to watch it again to give a definitive answer (it's been a while since I last saw it), but I agree with you about Luthor; he didn't impress me. Hackman didn't seem right for the role.

And although Returns wasn't all that great, Spacey was excellent as Lex.

Aeus

Indeed. Spacey did a good job as Luthor.

SpaceMarines

I liked Gene as Luthor.

LarJaThwei

Hulk is definitely not overrated, imo.

World War Hulk PROVED that he's the strongest there is! :D

Seriously, he even beat Sentry.

Aeus

World War Hulk...

Oh god. Greg Pak should not be allowed to write.

DoomRulz

WWH was good. I don't understand why people disliked it.

What!? Why not? He did a great job of showing Hulk's dominance, he's the best there is so, why not write it that way?

DoomRulz

If people are going to complain about Hulk being too powerful in the series, I would direct them to X-Men: WWH #3 when Hulk and Juggs went toe-to-toe and Juggs was able to draw blood.
