The special effects look good and the humor seems to be there, but it looks like yet another uninteresting Will Smith vehicle.

Do you know why it looks funny to me?

Because the trailer doesn't have a billion laughs in it. Comedie trailers that do that are saying "Look, we're funny. All our stuff is in the trailer."

This feels more layed back.

Cloverfield was awesome, from trailer to film. The batman movie looks good, but the trailer didn't really hype me, and we all know that nobody will get a good seat in the theater.

I like Will Smith as an actor, and I think he does well in the summer blockbuster role.  While I haven't gotten woodies from anything he's done, I can't say I didn't enjoy movies like Independance Day, I Robot, I am Legend in a b movie type of way.
