Here's my raw notes from what I wrote back in 2001. If I had the time (which I didn't) I was going to work on improving and adding content to the AVP2 game based on a lot of gut instinct back then. With Monolith's anniversary, I dusted it off with the intent I'll write a more formal article describing it. For now -- give it a look to point out confusion or if some ideas ideas are good or bad. You could frame it as "Back then..." or "Today's games..."
Highlights - create a Merc (Corporate) storyline, add back in cut content, modify player objects like a 3D Motion Tracker (which isn't a big deal now, but back then it was only a hud element).
