I think the trailer itself is purposely made to mislead us in few scenes. When I watched trailer for the first time I thought that those three shots take place in one location (crashed Juggernaut) but now I'm not so sure about the last one with Daniels.

I think those stub-like "wings" also unfold the same way in both ships. Solar sails I presume.

Some of my thoughts on the trailer.

1. Certainly interesting how teaser trailers are now becoming as long as feature length trailers.

2.  While I understand that the song was supposed to be related to David, the trailer wasn't concentrated on David.  Wonder what would have happened if the trailer was shorter, less dialogue,and had Mr. Bowie's  Space Oddity song.

3.  Was a bit underwhelmed, IMO.  Movie looks gorgeous and I am sure it is going to knock it out of the park.

So I believe it's the Super Bowl in a few hours. We don't know if they'll be showing a Covenant trailer or not - I think it's going to be Logan but I'd love a Covie trailer.

On the Something Awful movie forums, he posted that another non-Fox Superbowl trailer (meaning not Logan or A Cure For Wellness, which they also did) is already using the same music they were planning to use for the Superbowl spot.
