Didn't watch the video but I don't think it was ever in doubt that the plot borrowed from common ideas. Most level headed people expected that.

Some astronauts get into that face of Mars and while in there they find out that Martians seeded life on Earth. Then they find out that inside of the face they are in a space ship that is leaving and one stays to find out stuff.

Plot hole - if the Martians were advanced enough to build interstellar spacecraft, why couldn't they have detected and knockd out the asteroid before it hit the planet?

I've seen the movie. I just didn't watch whatever that clip was. I got the hint of the post though.

Apart from the dodgy CGI, I didn't mind that movie. Not that it was great, but not bad for a watch.

The Martians dont leave until the planet is almost totally dead. They probably developed the tech as a result of the asteroid hit.

Yeah that's fine, i think it's more the going into a structure that turns out to have a spaceship and one astronaut decides to fly off that's a bit too close. Unless there is a string of movies that do the same.... is there?

Our interstellar terraforming complex here on LV223 makes air for this hell-hole planet to enjoy one day...we should really have made a better design for the wierdo 'temple' storage chamber and keep the doors closed AT ALL TIMES (how about an airlock?) so that these air-triggered-booby-trapped mines dont go-off and release their black-goo by mistake!
