Great username!
The Egg Morphing in Alien's Director's Cut is the only scene I wish was added back into the Theatrical Cut, it added another level of horror.
Alien3 was the first film I saw pieces of, my introduction to the Xenomorph. So it has a special place in my heart for that alone. I prefer The Assembly Cut but the theatrical cut scene of the Queen Chestburster emerging as Ripley falls into the lead works.

Hi, thanks.
I thought for an while about a user name. Everyone one calls it "the engineer ship" or "the space jockey ship." But there was a time, long before the adventures of Elizabeth and friends, that when talking about the alien ship in Alien, it was just called The Derelict.
No one seems to call it that anymore.
Simpler times.
If I could add one more scene into Alien's theatrical cut, it would be Ripley and Parker seeing Brett taken away. Always seemed odd to me that he was attacked alone and then they both describe what happened in the next scene.
Unless the cat told them. 😄
In 2003, when i finally saw them witness it, was a game changer for me. Throw in the egg morphing and a sprinkling of cgi stars with the space scenes, and that was it for me, directors cut all the way.
As for my preference of Alien 3 theatrical over the assembly cut (checks watch), how long have you got. 🤣

Indeed, Ripley even says in Aliens, "did IQs just slip when I was away? Mam I told you it was not from there, it was a Derelict space ship, we homes in on its beacon." I still call it The Derelict because that is Ripley's description.
The scene where Parker and Ripley see Brett is taken by Kane's Son is a nice touch.Ot does make sense why Parker knows The Xenomorph is so big, bur in the theatrical cut I just assumed he saw it and was giving us his account.
*Looks at watch*
I got time.
