A low grade R. Like Requiem.

Requiem was pretty gory though. Pregnant woman bursting open, chick getting cut in half, decapitations, etc.

This is from the same article Hicks and I assume an error but nonetheless I thought i'd point it out

no, today's viewing audience has been blunted.
i have saved myself from seeing movies like SAW, the human centipede, and the final destination movies, but enough have seen it so.....this won't do much in comparison.

then again, i never have been much influenced by that scene. it didnt do much to me honestly, i thought it was rather cool and amazing. like MJ eating popcorn in his thriller movie lol. then again, i felt very uneased when seeing the guy from alien:resurection getting a headbite from a xeno from the back and standing and grabbing a piece of skull with brains on it. it was total BS offcourse and at a level funny but also rather uneasy.

i'll probably think the backsnapping scene will be 'uncomfortable' but not much more.
