The Flood was so Lovecraftian, Gigeresque, and Carpenter's The Thing! I loved how they portrayed it, to see the tentacle was terrifying!.

Finally being on Halo was thrilling, I see parallels between Halo and Alien: Covenant, a paradise world and ring where a pathogen and monsters lurk; that where there is beauty, great horror lurks; that what you think is Eden is the End of humanity.
