talked to a retired combat medic that goes to johannasburg every year to volunteer as a medic. he told me once he was waiting at the taxi rank and this car pulled up and two guys jumped out with guns and mowed down a bunch of people before speeding off. hardcore shit.

and another one of my dads mates had a terrifing experiance, he got carjacked over there and they held him in the backseat with a gun to his head talking about how they where going to kill him. they threw him off a cliff but luckly he landed on a small ledge, missing the big drop. it was night time so when they looked over the edge they couldnt see shit and left.

I remember him sweating abit when he told me and showed me a scar he got from landing on the ledge.

f**k that place
Jesus. How has Vicks survived this long? :'(

UNF. Love abandoned houses.

When I left home after high school I went to live with my best friend in North Carolina for a while, really small town. There was an old abandoned house on a more or less occupied street corner in town, and we decided to go inside... in broad daylight in view of everyone :P And in heels :P I don't remember how we got in, but it was fairly easy. The house was a mess inside, obviously people had been through before over the years and looted it of all its valuables -- except the former owner's wardrobe, which consisted of lots of vintage outfits from the 30s and 40s. I found this really beautiful, classy black dress that looked great on me, my friend found some stuff for herself. It was all very well preserved. The house had seemingly been abandoned in the 60s or 70s; we found letters that looked like they were from the woman's son in Vietnam. Lots of old, decaying furniture. We went into the shed/greenhouse out back and found tons of old books and catalogs (which we later sold on ebay).

As we were about to leave we realized the cops had pulled up out front and were scoping the house -- someone had seen us go in, probably. We hid in the severely overgrown garden til they left, and then ran back to her car with our loot :P Good times.

After I've washed and dried clothes I don't really like folding them, so I tend to just throw them in a big pile on the floor of my room and put them away later (be it a few days or a week). This has been going on for YEARS. One day when I was about 6, in my previous house, I asked my 3 year old sister to go and get a specific toy for me from my room, as I was busy setting something up. Now I had alot of stuffed animals from multiple trips to the zoo, and sometimes they would be on the floor and would end up underneath the huge piles of clothes in my room. Which was why nobody gave a second thought when my sister came back with the toy reporting a pair of eyes through the mass of clothes.

Later that night, after dinner, when me and my mom were going to my room for my bedtime routine, my window was open and the mesh that covers it had been cut open by what was probably a knife.
