They are really cheap for then.
They only sculpt a new head on some straps and accessories.
And the must retool the head for this sice, why Neca not make a better facesulpt ?
The mandibles are to wide open, the jaw to big compared to the rest of his head, some squills are missing, his nose are to short, etc.

And this area is compölete wrong, the Elder have no loincloath on his genital protction. You must complete recsulpt this area.
People are not to harsh. This product of Neca is a bad joke. What they make for the 1/4 treatment ?
A new laser on the cannon, a few straps and a new sheath.
The most of the errors are not revisted.
This is pnly a money maker, no consumerfreindly. They make here nothing for the consumers.
So many errors, so bad quality.
You can not this compare with the Hot Toys Elder. The Ht Elder are a much older figure at a time that products are not so accurate.
But he have the better facesculpt, paintjobp and not more errors on the sculpt than the Neca on.
And Neca are normally very accurate. We must compare the Neca Elder with the rest of the neca Predators.
And on this point of view this is not a good work.

I understand that the elder is mostly the same as the jungle hunter, because the costume was a modified version of that, but with that lousy paintjob and all the inaccuracies it seems like they are not even trying anymore to make the same sculpt palatable to me.

Its not against Neca. There Predator sculpts are among the best on the market.
But this here is a exception.
Everything on this says to me "we want your money for the least number of work".
Neca can make this better, a way better.
When all buy this and no one criticized this, they make so many of this sort.
Why they must make better products, when people buy all of his stuff.
A further example is the netting. It looks not good, its not accurate and some people have tha probleme that its broke.
You ses the less time of work on this figure on his wristblades and the false paints(skin, dreads, armor).
