We did, but I never really watched it.  Early 80s was Japanese stuff like Battle of the Planets (Gatchaman) and Star Blazers (Yamato) which aired on weekday afternoons along with Monkey and Dr Who.  Stuff I remember from Saturday mornings were mainly reruns of stuff from the 1960s and 1970s like Scooby Doo, Whacky Races, Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes, Space Ghost, Magilla Gorilla, Herculoids. They eventually gave way to 20 minute toy commercials like Transformers, and Masters of the Universe. Oh and Robotech.

Never seen the movie.  I noted with some amusement at Macek disowning it as if Robotech was his own creative vision in the first place.
