I would agree, but with the recent talk of them wrapping up the show in seven seasons it seems like the Dorne and Iron Islands stuff would be some of the first bits to get trimmed.

I have my doubts they will wrap it up that quick.  Their still might be more than 7 books released.  If I remember the history right there was initially supposed to be five and that number has increased over the years to 7.  Personally I don't know how he's going to wrap up all the storylines he's got started in two more books but that's why he's the professional.

I have faith that it can be finished in two more books (and I'm clutching on straws that we may see The Winds of Winter by the end of 2015) but with Martin, anything can happen.

His death was quite... grisly. After the image dissipated from my mind I found myself grinning. It's wrong to take joy in the death of a person, or wish death upon them, but god damn it I'm happy his tyrannical reign is over. If that makes me a bastard than I'm a happy bastard.

Couldn't help but notice that Jamie/Cersei were the only ones who tried to help him at all.

What Tyrion had to do with Shae made me sad though.
