It's quite astounding how a studio and franchise can so consistently drop the ball.  There was some fun bits but it so uneven and often repetitive. If anyone ever had an idea of what they wanted this movie to be they utterly failed in getting it across. Pierce Brosnan was probably the best thing about it as Aldi Dr Strange.

Been replaying the Tomb Raider games at the moment so I watched 2001's Lara Croft's Tomb Raider yesterday. I know it got a lot of stick but I liked it. I still think it's better than the sequel they did. It occurred to me though that despite how big Angelina Jolie is, that's the only film I've ever seen her in.

The 35mm print of Aliens I own boasts beautiful colours. Next on my list is acquiring a scan of the Alien 3 35mm print. With the right headphones, the audio on both Alien and Aliens prints is exceptional. Considering investing in a projector to transform my bedroom into a personal cinema.
