But not the chestburster. And it's not the same situation. If a person was already host, there's no need for a facehugger to try to impregnate them again. But that's why I brought up the whole proximity thing.

It's the equivalent because yes, we don't see it latch down, but her being infected earlier isn't really explicit. Where as we actually see her being attacked by the huggers, to the point where it's nearly down and echoes the most recent film in terms of timing.
I understand everything you've put across, but it doesn't make a more satisfactory sequence in the comic for me.
Is that something was actually determined with Wood/your consultancy? Or your figuring after the fact?
