I had to wear an eyepatch for the astigmatism when I was a kid.  I'd wear it over my good eye to try and strengthen my bad one.

I had like a pirates patch and these adhesive ones you couldn't blink under that stunk so bad I'd flush them down the toilet to not wear them.

............I was probably the only kid in school that thanked god when he got glasses.
