@Corporal Hicks would probably argue that the Homeworld games are also good.

I'm not going to apologize to a person who lies constantly to cover their ass, especially when he was learning "magic tricks"

No, you see it's fine, coz that underage squirt porn was just for research purposes.

Why isn't randy in jail for this? I believe that he have more of this shit in his computer. Then again it took a decade to put Ian Watkins in jail, even though there is evidence right in front of them.

Wweyland

I would argue that Half-Life: Opposing Force is one of the best expansion packs ever made, but it was made so long ago.

And you'd be right on both counts.

Maybe David Fincher should apologize for taking Turk away from us. I mean why not.

Dear Esteemed Members of the Message Board Community,

I hope this letter finds you in a reflective mood, because today I come to you with a matter most pressing, yet seemingly overlooked in our spirited discussions. It's about time we address the elephant in the room - our collective treatment of Randy Pitchford regarding the saga of "Aliens: Colonial Marines."

Ah, "Aliens: Colonial Marines," that paragon of gaming excellence, the subject of our endless debates, criticisms, and let's face it, outright derision. But let's take a moment to consider the man at the helm of this... let's call it an 'ambitious' project. Randy Pitchford, a visionary, a dreamer, bravely steering his ship through the stormy seas of public opinion.

For a decade, our keyboards have been weapons of scathing criticism against Mr. Pitchford. We've dissected every decision, every statement, and every pixel of that game with the precision of a surgeon - albeit a surgeon with a rather blunt scalpel. But have we ever stopped to consider the possibility, just maybe, that we might have been a tad too harsh?

Now, I'm not suggesting that "Aliens: Colonial Marines" is a misunderstood masterpiece, waiting for its renaissance. That would be like arguing that a square wheel is just a misunderstood innovation in transportation. No, no. What I am suggesting, however, is the radical notion of empathy. Yes, empathy for a man who dared to dream, who perhaps flew too close to the sun, but isn't that what heroes do?

So, I pose a question to you, dear community: Where is our apology to Randy Pitchford? Where is our collective mea culpa for not recognizing the sheer audacity it takes to tackle such a beloved franchise? We've been so busy sharpening our wits that we've forgotten the art of grace.

In conclusion, let's raise our glasses (or our coffee cups, for those early morning forum dwellers) to Randy Pitchford. Here's to the dreamers, the visionaries, and yes, even the misguided pioneers. May our future criticisms be laced with a tad more kindness, and our apologies a bit more forthcoming.

Yours in reflection,
