Finally got my old man recovered from a surgery, and he's been getting pissy about wanting his independence back so I let him go to the store by himself... and he has a slip'n'fall. Tore a bunch of ligaments in one knee, so he can't really walk.
The problem here, is neither can I. The arthritic condition I suffer from often manifests in my ankle when the weather gets colder and reduces me to crutches at best for movement for a time. It was already starting before I had to race around getting my dad to a medic, and now it's fantastically painful and swelling up impressively.
Oh, and it's in my left foot for the first time, always been in the right before. If they ever both go at the same time it'll be a wheelchair, not crutches - and my house is all stairs.
I genuinely cannot catch a break, even for a week.
