Comparing the size of Shaw's head to it's head, it doesn't look that small.

Ha, sorry for deleting that part of my post.
Either way, I was referring to the supposed '3 meters (or something) tall' engineers. That one (which is showed in another shot) seems to be human sized. It either is able to change sizes or it's something else.
