So, in the middle of fumbling about online doing a little research, I've discovered there was a semi-regular Predator anthology series published in Germany in the early 90s that featured serialized reprints of several Dark Horse Predator (and Aliens vs. Predator) comic books.

Nothing massively exciting there, until you check out issues 6 and 7 - most of the issues in this series simply recycled cover art from an existing comic, but these two featured new artwork by Dan Barry based on Predator 2 (the adaptation of which was included in these two issues).

Perhaps not quite the greatest Predator covers ever produced, but I really like the concept of the first, if not the execution. Plus they're more interesting than the film stills used on the comic elsewhere!

Wow. I am loving that last one. Reminds me of that Archie vs Predator crossover.

Hah, it does kinda evoke that now that you mention it.

Given that Dan Barry worked on the Predator 2 adaptation itself, I'm now wondering whether these might have originally been done for that, but got rejected in favour of the film stills only to later get recycled by ze Germans.
