Hurly burly? Not heard that one before. I did warn folk that it wasn't going to be a massive thing but it did seem to get out of hand. lol
I first heard it in Shakespeare's play,
Macbeth, from the second witch: "When the hurly-burly's done, / When the battle's lost and won" (1.1.3-4).
According to the OED:
hurly-burly, n., adj., and adv.
Pronunciation: /ˈhəːlɪˈbəːli/
A. n.
a. Commotion, tumult, strife, uproar, turmoil, confusion. (Formerly a more dignified word than now.)
