Sticking with Bond:

The Living Daylights (1987)
Licence to Kill (1989)

I liked Timothy Dalton as Bond and wished he had done a few more films.

Live and Let Die (1973)
The Man with the Golden Gun (1974)
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)
Moonraker (1979)

Roger Moore is my favourite Bond and it has been a blast revisiting the Bond films.  I noticed while watching Moonraker a lot of sound effects in that film were also used in both Alien and Aliens.

Quote from: SiL on Jul 11, 2022, 07:54:06 AMBrosnan could've been a spectacular Bond with better scripts. He's always got a nostalgic place in my heart, but after Goldeneye he was stuck between Roger Moore's Bonds and a generation that was too sophisticated for them.

Quote from: HuDaFuK on Jul 11, 2022, 07:58:15 AMFor me, Brosnan's tenure is summed up by Die Another Day - he gives perhaps his best performance as 007 in that movie, he's really excellent in it... but it's Die Another Day, so no one gave a shit.

I must admit that the Brosnan films are guilty pleasures of mine  If it wasn't for the legal troubles between EON and MGM we would have gotten Goldeneye back in 1990 with Timothy Dalton.  Even though I liked Dalton's Bond I think Brosnan was great in Goldeneye.

The Terminal

Not a bad movie, but it really didn't need a villain, especially one this incredibly petty and annoying.

Overlord (2018)

The closest we'll get to a Wolfenstein movie.

I enjoyed the hell out of that movie.

Also, considering it's basically just a dumb Nazi übersoldaten B-flick, I thought the D-Day paradrop sequence was genuinely brilliantly done. It's intense as shit.

Sean Connery Bond films.

Continuing with my Bond marathon I've just finished the Sean Connery films.  I haven't watched the unofficial Bond film 'Never Say Never' yet.  Just the Daniel Craig films to watch after that and my Bond marathon is finished.

Evangelion: 3.0+1.01 Thrice Upon a Time

Probably the best of the new films. I really liked the first half. Later parts felt pretty derivative, although that's probqbly quite intentional, it drags a bit from time to time. The weird scenes are superweird, so that's a plus. The metastuff's pretty interesting too.

Overall quality of the drawings is obvv beyond doubt. Love it or hate it this film is just art in its purest form.

Spoiler
Ending was actually uplifting but felt a bit meh too dunno.

Casino Royale (2006)

Still Craig's best Bond, and a contender for best Bond, period. "How's the lamb?" "Skewered. One sympathizes."

I like the timeless feel it contains. Both in-universe and on the production level
