Cold in July (2014)

I love this film. Pretty tight soundtrack to boot.

I like the first Jay & Silent Bob movie, it's full of inside jokes that people who haven't watched Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy and Dogma won't get. Smith kinda lost the plot after Zack & Miri though. His last movie Yoga Hosers was awful.

Can't wait to see these guys again in the Jay And Silent Bob reboot!

I watched like 5 minutes of the original years ago and just didn't get it.

It doesn't start making sense until minute 6.

The Dirt (2019)
Not perfect but it's good unclean fun.
Book's better though.

It's easy to enjoy without having seen any of those.

I respect Smith. He just does what he wants.
Hopefully he'll still do Moose Jaws.

Yes, but it's even better if you've seen them so you know what all those inside jokes are about. There are probably between 30-50 in Jay & Silent Bob that you will only get if you've seen his previous movies.

Yeah, there's a bunch. But from what I remember you can still enjoy most of them without knowing the references.

Anyway, really looking forward to Reboot. If it's anything like the original, it should be good fun.

"...and then after, I want you to say: Oh, what a lovely tea party."

Aquaman (2018)

This was utter bonkers, but in a great way. Man, when a DC character is put in the hands of the right director, the material really soars. This is what the DCU should and could be. I don't know what I enjoyed more, the crazy, underwater stuff or watching everybody's hair distractedly sway around underwater. Fun, fun stuff!

For the first time: Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse, I finally got to see this one with it's Blu-Ray release. It's fantastic and I love it, the soundtrack, the characters it hooked me and I call it my second favorite of 2018. (Infinity War taking the first place)

Rewatch: Gremlins 2, why did I torture myself with this? I enjoyed this as a kid but looking on it now I understand why it's not as good as the original. It's like a literal parody and it makes fun of pop culture throughout the entire movie which is really annoying. If I wanted that I'd watch Spaceballs, not a sequel to a movie like Gremlins. I can almost compare it to The Predator but I'm not sure which is worst it's so similar in a sense that it almost feels like a parody instead of a follow up. At least I got the original with this $5 2 pack at walmart so it's not all bad.
