Also the disintegrating thing is what I don't understand about the "new" Boba. This version looks like he'd cry if he accidentally vaporized a target.
Not quite sure if this poor guy would agree with that assessment....
I can understand if some would have preferred if Boba had kept the helmet on more often, and been portrayed as an absolutely unrelenting badass throughout the entire show in a sort of 'Judge Dredd'-like way. In fact, I was sorta hoping for that kind of thing myself initially, especially as there's been so long to imagine how a 'bounty hunter' show might look like.
But due to the disappointment of the 'Sequel Trilogy' killing off our main trio of heroes from the original movies by the time they were finished, I ended up setting myself a very low bar for how any of the TV shows were going to turn out.
But I've been pleasantly entertained by most of 'The Mandalorian' and 'The Book Of Boba Fett' so far....as there's been some fun moments amongst all the 'fan service-y' stuff, and I'm content with the way things are panning out with them so far, regardless of any eye-rolling moments.
Althoough the first episode of 'TBOBF' was a bit clunky in places, and Robert Rodriguez gave us a a cheap-looking and lacklustre scene of Boba's 'Sarlacc escape' in my view....I thought the 2nd episode by Steph Green was pretty great overall, especially since we got such an interesting take on the Tusken tribe's culture. In fact it's made me appreciate the way Boba was portrayed in 'The Mandalorian' much more now.
So yeah, while I hope we can get another great movie in the franchise one day, I'm definitely looking forward to what the other TV shows will bring in the meantime.
