Anybody can improve their body and as its the first sense of self a person shouldn't have a negative self body image.
My tummy looks like a bear took a swipe at it due to stretch marks left over from my fatass teen years. I can't ever wear a bikini.

everybody has got something like that,  I grew from 5'6" to 6'2" in between my sophomore and junior years in HS.  I've got stretch marks on every bendy place where I grew too fast.

people should compete with themselves, don't worry bout what other people think

Not entirely true. Society pushes guys to become extremely muscular, sometimes to a point where exercise will interfere with their lives.

Hardly. Society pushes guys to be reasonably in shape, or at least not too fat. People who are extremely muscular do that as a hobby, like bodybuilding, and that has nothing to do with societal expectations.
