To the OP, that's kind of what being a nerd is all about though honestly. If everyone agreed on the trivial facts of their favorite franchises than what would 90% of the geek population do in their ample, ample spare time.
It would liken it to what potheads would talk about if it was actually legalized.

Anywho... I'm a fan of most of the DH generated EU comics although admittedly I'm less well read on the Pred side as i am in the Alien ones. Some of the new ideas presented i think are great and absolutely intriguing while other change things up seemingly to be as weird as possible and ironically bore me to tears.
That's consistent with what others have already said in this thread though, lazy, new stuff for "newness" sake = bad. Well thought out, creative ideas that move the franchise forward in interesting ways = good.
