The future for Alien gets grimmer by the day. After this honestly I think Alien needs to die for a bit because at this point it seems that if they did continue it it would be horrible. Until the future of it is in better hands it should probably lay low...sadly.
Some days I wish it all stopped in either '79 or '86, but I don't want to be one of those people who cries and yells about a franchise being irrevocably ruined and yet
never shuts up about it (like the
Star Wars fandom.) If other people enjoy the new movies (and they do) I don't really care. There's a whole world burning out there that I can feel dismayed about instead. The world might probably do pretty well if we pulled our heads out of our backsides when it comes to entertainment (I remember being in my early 20's and feeling utterly confused and even insulted that other members of this forum or elsewhere
dared to like a movie that I didn't. Thank god age mellowed me out and provided a little perspective.)
