I like cinema gems like this. Also, very creepy for a cartoon

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery

I loved it when I was a small kid and I love it to this day.

"Sharks with freakin' laser beams attached to their head !"

"And when Mr. Bigglesworth gets upset - people DIE !"

Hellboy

The new one. Not as bad as I anticipated, aside from the final act.

I went in with anticipation and boy was I let down. The movie was such a mess and hellboy constantly saying daddy and stuff like that through me off. Maybe if I watched it with no expectations I would've enjoyed it more.

Rambo: Last Blood - the f**k did I just watch?  First half was unusually dark and serious for a series that revels in silly over the top cartoon violence.  Then he turns into Jason Voorhees.  And he just couldn't let it go in the end.  Could've gone with a poetic, if clichéd shot of the rocking chair gradually coming to a stop as Rambo dies.  Nuh - rides off on his horse during the credits.

My expectations were extremely low. Was it the best story of the 3? No way. But it was a heavier ride. Sharper, less zany, less bloated, and nowhere near as...(for lack of a better term) family friendly. That short montage of giant demons near the end, Geez Louise. I want a DOOM movie with that kind of balls.

The little nod to Predator was nice too.

I think David played the part well, and the movie had lots of stuff to show off. For me, it was just a matter of divorcing it from Del Toro's films. Instead of Ron making another funny joke, somebody gets their face ripped off. Could it have been better? Yeah. Could it have been a lot worse? Absolutely.

Drive (2011)
Fantastic slow build drama, but when it kicks in, it kicks in. Refn set out his style early

End of Days

One of Schwarzenegger's most underrated movies.

Over the top Gabriel Byrne for the win
